I've got a pair of Oakley half jacket xl's and I have three different lenses: Fire Iridium polarized, rose, and clear (I don't ever like riding w/o eye protection). The fire iridium lenses are probably my favorite, I'm not sure the polarization really helps all that much, I suppose it's a bit easier to see into puddles though. They aren't too dark so they may be what you are looking for. I use the rose for darker conditions and they are fine. The clears I use on really dark days or night CX races, of which we have a few around here.

Oakley also makes a new tech called 'prism' I have it on my ski goggles and it looks like it's available in most of the sunglasses as well. They say it helps enhance visibility and color contrast...after a year of skiing with with them, I'm not sure it makes a difference. The are great goggles, but that might be some marketing...

Can't comment on the 'sport specific' cycling lenses, in principal they seem good, not sure if they can do them Rx.
