I'd like to have one on my bike sometimes, out in the farm roads with the douchery that comes in the form of a pick up truck yelling & swerving at us to get off their roads. All you need is a license plate, face & clearly see/hear what they do for a few seconds & your case is made. It's a good form of protection & support should they get too out of hand & show road rage galore. Too bad Richie Cunningham didn't have one on his bike--Dirk Friel did, good move!

I believe that there are better cameras for this than gopro. Specifically you would want something with a longer battery life and possibly an easy way to externally power it. I imagine there are better ways to loop data than gopro does too.

Not yet there isn't. Certainly not in the sports camera category. I have a Sony 4K camera right beside me, however, I wouldn't want to attempt to take it into the water.
Speculation is Sony will have a camera with the same specs/better battery out in the spring.

He is describing some kind of camera on the bike for police reports, the segment is sometimes referred to as safety cameras. So yes, there is. As for your 4k Sony, I don't see why that's relevent and couldn't care less.

Gopro is ok with 1 hour battery life on their cameras and prioritizes resolution. That makes it a crappy ride along camera on a bike, unless you like swapping batteries and sifting through giant files of useless video.

DCRainmaker has a review on this one.

And here is another after a simple google search. So I would encourage you to put a bit more thought into posting "no there isn't" in the future.
