Keep shit in perspective
I found out last night that a long-time friend of mine was in a freak accident - not a careless or stupid one - a few weeks ago and he's paralyzed from the chest down. We used to climb together. Matt was an amazing climber. It makes the shit you worry about every day seem small and silly.

Perspective is a ton of bricks.

None of you know me. None of you know Matt. But if you care, here's a link to help. He was finishing up a PhD in Economics, has a 6 month-old baby, and he doesn't have insurance. He is a nice guy, and he is a friend of mine. Any one of us could find ourselves in his shoes one day...
