The reason why you don't have this issue with Kestrel is because the rail are aluminum mount on the carbon seat pol

Yes that is correct. Also I believe the Scott Plasma has an aluminum rail as well!

Candice,
Two Delta Sonic related questions if I may:
1) Do you see any issues using your (fantastic) new Aero Pouch 300 with the Delta Sonic? I would imagine the additional weight of a loaded bag on top of a full bottle could exert quite a bit of force on the seat post. I have no problems going the seat mounted route (ie Delta 400).
2) I use the ISM Podium saddle in a fairly aft position, at what point do I consider ordering the Delta Sonic XL? I suppose I could order both the regular and XL and ship one back.

Many thanks!
Mischa

Hi Mischa!

The Delta Sonic will definitely work with the Aero Pouch 300. We have added a larger washer to the Delta Sonic to help support the weight. If you need one let me know and we can get one out to you.

As far as when to order the Delta Sonic XL, there are a couple factors. One factor obviously is the amount of insertion you are able to have into the seatpost. If the screw is going to be right at the back, then you would need the XL. The 2nd factor is the saddle you use. The Podium does have a bit of a tail. Can you post a picture of your setup and I can see if I can tell by that?

Candice,

thank you for your prompt reply, you guys really are the best. In that case I'll be going along with the Delta Sonic and Aero Pouch.

I actually don't have a picture as of yet as I'm having my P5 built up by my LBS, I'll see if I can't order the Delta through them otherwise I'll follow up with a picture of my seatpost and saddle.

Thanks again!
Mischa

Switching saddles won't affect the fit of the Delta Sonic, unless you have switched saddle position and want the Delta Sonic XL rod...is that what you are asking?

Yes. The new saddle has a longer rear end and I now need the longer XL rod so that there is enough clearance and still enough of the rod in the seat post. Thank you

Hi All,

I have the same issue going on with my NP2 seatpost (bolt and washer has cracked through). Will Cervelo replace the seatpost or I am I stuck shelling out a couple of hundred for a new seatpost.

Thanks,

Hello,

the XLAB Delta 400, is compatible with ISM PN 1.1?
The model Delta 400 and 425 are very similar, but XLAB states that the Delta 400 is not compatible with the ISM PN 1.1, is it not even compatible?

Thanks for reply

The Delta 425 will work with the PN 1.1.

The carriers are similar, but the angle of the arms are different. The Delta 425 is angled to wrap around the vertical rails found on that particular saddle.

The Delta 400 is not compatible on the PN 1.1 - it puts more pressure on the arms and affects the carrier's reliability.

Delta 425 is the same price as the Delta 400. If you need help finding one if that's the issue, DM me and I can help locate one for you.

Hello Candice,

Thank you for your very insightful response.
I have searched, but the Delta 425 is more expensive, if I can help I would be very grateful.
I live in Portugal, there is a representative in this country?

Thank you

The closest in stock Delta 425 I could find was in Switzerland. Unfortunately I don't have any in Portugal or Spain at the moment. Just follow the Switzerland link and that will bring you to the Delta 425 page for purchasing.

Grave digging this thread rather than starting a new one. Does anyone have any further suggestions for NP3 rear-mount bottle options? The XLab Delta Sonic noted in this thread and the Profile Design RM10 seem to be the main choices, but I can't find much online feedback/reviews for either one.

Hi Renatotri

You responded to me so I got a notification :)

Not sure exactly which photo you were referring to however I definitely would not recommend putting a hole into the Delta Sonic rod.

If you would like to email me I can offer help with your situation after I get some specifics.
