No rips or tears in the suit - it is in great shape. I only wore it for races and a handful of open water training swims.

As to the fit, I am 6'3" 175 and compared to my new Roka Maverick (that is a Medium, Tall size), it runs a bit bigger. For instance, I can't zip up my Roka on my own using the tassel, but I can do it with the Nineteen. I think it will fit you in a performance fit (i.e., snug), but not necessarily restrictive.
