Just a thought, maybe look into microshift, another forum member recently built up a bike with it and here is a bit of a "review" http://forum.slowtwitch.com/..._reply;so=ASC;mh=25; you could drop him a line maybe get some more details on it


105 is good stuff too but tiagra is just garbage IMHO

thanks for the tip on the microshift. i think for his purposes i'd rather keep him on shimano though as he's not a real enthusiast and it's more readily available.

hello! i dug up this thread a bit late. if you are still interested... i have a new gruppo. it came on my caad9 from last year (2010)

comes in black. i can give you the entire set. or just some of it.
