Vuka basebar is full carbon. Extensions are carbon too. I'll measure length and post pics tonight if not already sold.

Another question.....can they be extended safely at all? What is the minimum insertion? Are they supposed to be pushed all the way in? I don't know enough about the Vuka.

Pushing them all the way in is the safest as the extensions will have more coverage. You could extend them out by at least 1". Vuka's are designed to have some adjustability. As for minimum insertion, you would have to contact Zipp. www.zipp.com
