"I removed the zipp stickers because the stickers covered up the dimples on the disc. The dimples improve the disc's aerodynamics so by removing the stickers I made the disc more aerodynamic."
There's something really odd about that auction, too. It's described as brand-new, with unopened packaging, but the seller admits to riding it and removing labels. Further, there's no reserve price for a $1800 "new" wheel. It doesn't pass the smell test.
