WTB: rear race wheel (or set) (cover ready or disc)
OK, I made the mistake of borrowing a decent rear wheel (a 100mm blackwell carbon clincher with a disc cover) for my last Olympic race. It felt incredible and I rode fast (sub 56 40K on rough roads and breezy rolling course) with less bike effort than usual. Now I realize that I should try to buy a decent race wheel or wheelset.
Right now I have an older FlashPoint 60 clincher on the front that I hawked off craigslist but I could sell it if I found a good wheelset too. My bike is basically like a "frankenbike"....

So....I'm looking to buy a rear race wheel, something light and aero that would work well with a disc cover so it would be versatile for different courses. or an actual disc if there was a good deal.

Or if someone has a wheelset they are looking to sell I would consider that.

I Clinchers or tubulars, either one is fine. Price range is totally flexible depending on what it is. I also want to start training with power so would consider something with PT hub if it were still good for training, too.

Anybody got anything to sell? or any suggestions? thx in advance!

I am about to sell a set of HED Jet 60 C2s with a rear wheelbuilder cover. They were race only, have about 250 miles on them and are the best wheels ever. I am doing fewer races now and can't justify keeping them around. Send me a PM for pics or if there is an interest.

Hi,
Are you still looking for a disc wheel? I have a Zipp disc (pre-dimpled model) that I'm looking to part ways with. I purchased the wheel about 4 or 5 years ago and have only used it 2 or 3 times. It has a tire glued up that is in very good condition. I'd like to get $500 for it. Let me know.

I may be interested in this disc if you don't have any other takers. I am in no hurry,in fact I just started looking recently but this may be a good fit for me if you are looking to sell.

Hi Luke,
I've had a couple people show some interest, but no takers yet. It's a Zipp disc (pre-dimpled) with a fresh tire glued up. I've only used it 2 or 3 times in the last 4 years, so I finally am ready to part ways with it to make some room from 'cross stuff. It does have a couple cosmetic dings in it, but nothing structural. It's really an amazing wheel. I'm asking $500.

Cheers.
john.
