WTB: Inexpensive 29er Hardtail MTB
Looking for a hardtail MTB. Would prefer a single speed with rigid fork if anyone has something like that but open to others. Don't really want to spend a ton. Thinking $800 and under.

I'm tall so it needs to be at least a 19" or Large.

They're heavy and the spec is what you'd expect for $500-800, but the frames won't snap on you.

I've got on to sell but it doesn't meet your specs as it's a medium, lefty fork with plenty of gears. It is hard tail though.

Thanks but I prefer no suspension. Going to be used on mild single track and bike paths. Plan on converting whatever I find to road bars with road brake levers. Sort of like a gravel bike but with bigger tires and a MTB geometry.

I'm selling an XXL 23" Trek X-Caliber 29er hardtail, asking $500. It has 3x10 gears and a RockShox Reba 120mm fork, but you could probably sell that stuff and buy a rigid fork and SS kit at little to no cost.

EDIT: Just read your last post, I actually considered turning this bike into a badass gravel/adventure machine before I added a different bike to my quiver. This would make a perfect bike for what you want if it's not too big for you and you don't mind swapping out the things I mentioned.
