Your price point is going to make it difficult to find such a deal especially in the 58cm size. You might find one from the 2008 model year in the dark green color scheme.

Maybe true, but I think $1500 or less is doable, and for a 2009 model or newer. I don't need wheels or a higher end grouppo.

The HI-MOD frames did not come with the 105 level or similar components.

Thanks for the info. Perhaps, then, I'm looking at just buying a hi-mod frame. Then again, maybe I need to settle on the non hi-mod frame bike, the Slice 5 model.

You can get your hands on a new 2012 58cm Slice -full bike- for just over $1500.00 plus shipping via eBay and some vendors. Use this as a starting price point. Used Hi-Mod frames are listed for $1250-$1500.00 each on the beginnertriathlete site.
