I've got a recertified Edge 1030 coming right from Garmin to replace one as an "out of warranty replacement" after I broke one tab of the quarter mount, doing something stupid. The replacement is supposed to arrive today at work.
Usually these look and feel like new, with plastic on the screen and all.
Awesome computer. WIFI, Bluetooth, turn-by-turn direction, large screen, etc.
I was not looking to change, but to avoid downtime while I was shipping the damaged one, I ended up getting a 1040.
Edge 1030 plus (same features I believe - they have been added via firmware- just a bit more memory and slightly more battery in the plus version) is $599 retail and you can find it on sale for $449.
For the unit coming right from Garmin, I'd take $295 for the Edge 1030 recertified.
