Need parts for commuter - Chainrings, single speed conversion kit
Quote | Reply
I found an old schwinn on the street and I'm bringing it back to life. I need a few parts to complete the build.

- 53/39 or similar, not flashy chainring set and torx bolt. Shimano 9 speed compatible.

- Single Speed conversion kit for shimano 9 speed hub

- A chain, preferably shimano or sram 9 speed

Please PM if you've got em. I'm not looking for anything fancy, this is gonna be parked on the streets of Brooklyn!

Does it have semi or horizontal dropouts? For my old stumpjumper i just used cassette spacers to make my hub into a SS. It was way easier than changing a freehub body. I might have a few cogs lying around and i think a 42T chainring. Let me know what you need and i can dig around the parts bin.

I have a NIP 52T 105 9-spd, black. Just been sitting on the shelf waiting for the right project, which has never materialized. $15?

sounds good, let me just check at home, I vaguely remember having a triple set lying around somewhere and I want to see if I can find it.
