Can you tell me how old the bike is and approximately how many miles it is has been ridden?

Is the compact crank really 50/24 or is it a 50/34?

In the fork description you provide two options. Which is it on this bike? I would presume it is the two sided fork with 28" wheels.

What brakes are installed?

What seat angle mounts do you have on this bike? The lowest or the highest?

Can you tell me the hub and rim manufacturer and model for the wheels?

How is the seat for wear and general condition?

Please send me me photos

Thanks!

Kjan, you're exactly correct. The recumbent was invented in the early 1930s in France by Charles Mochet. He recruited a decidedly B-grade cyclist, Francis Faure, to enter it in races. People who had known mssr Faure previously were stunned to see him win every race and demolish every record, including the 20-year-old hour record, and embarrass all the famous cyclists of the day. Finally the UCI stepped in and put a stop to the shenanigans. After all, using something technologically superior is unsportsmanlike. Recumbents are still to this day banned from UCI events, including the Tour de France. This is the SAME UCI that meddles with almost ANY worthwhile technological improvement today, so you see their heavy-handed anti-progress stance is not at all new.

OK, hijack over, back to the transaction of this magnificent M5.

So maybe they would be faster in a non technical flat TT, but up a HC climb? Cmon! The real reason they were banned is because there was no contest climbing, they were too slow, and then on the descents, the rider's beards would blow up in there face and cause them to crash because they couldn't see. I hear they are out there, fast riders on recumbents, but in all my years os riding, I have yet to actually see it.

Sorry to bother again, but perhaps I have missed your email or perhaps you have been tied up with more urgent issues. Just so you know, I am prepared to come to Chicago to look at and possibly pick up the bike. I would love to get more information on it. Again my email is p.gaskill@me.com.
