I'm selling this for a friend who's decided to go back to his motherland and does not want to take the bike with him. Everything was bought late last year and have less than 500 miles. Still in pristine condition. He wants to sell the bike complete and has no plans on taking it apart and sell piece by piece. Can do shipping (buyer have to pay for shipping and professional packaging). Lives in NYC.

I ride a 2011 Tarmac sl3 and just love it. I'm fairly certain the sizes are 49, 52, 54, etc. Not sure there's a size 50.

This is not a Tarmac SL3 then. The SL3 uses 10r carbon. What your friend has here is the Tarmac Compact or Mid-Compact, seen here http://www.specialized.com/...1101&scname=Road

It looks like they took the cheapest Tarmac frame and built it up with Red, Zipp, etc. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I just want to make sure everything is accurate, especially considering its not YOUR bike.

Thanks btmoney for pointing that out! I will definitely tell my friend about it and maybe he can go back to the LBS where he got the frame from. They probably charged him for the SL3 and he didn't even notice it. I will update this posting once we verified the frame's model.

I feel bad for your friend, if the bike shop screwed him over. Some shop takes advantage of people with a lot of money that dont care about the price.

that's some seriously messed up %$@! if the shop sold your friend & charged them for an sl3 when it's not, upgraded parts group aside.

regardless, that's a very nice bike i might add (coming from a tarmac owner myself).

My friend just came back to me with an update - the son of the owner of the LBS apparently made a mistake and the father is giving my friend some money back. He offered to exchange it and give him the SL3 frame but since he's leaving the country soon, he just opted for the money instead. So.... with that said, to everyone who sent me a PM asking for the price, it is now $1,000 less. In the next couple of days I will be creating a new post with the updated information plus the different options - he decided to break it apart and sell the frame, components, wheelset, handlebar, saddle, pedals, and computer separately.
