Here are 2 better pics of the crack in the surface. It was caused by a small bungee cord I was using to hold the wheel down to my bike rack behind my car as the racks wheel straps didn't work with the disc on. As I was unhooking it, one of the little metal ends with the hook released and shot around at high speed and hit the surface.
