To be fair, on that second one, it's customary for the Joint Chiefs as well as SCOTUS to sit poker-faced through any remarks that are interpreted as overtly political.

Yeah, it might be patronizing, but when the President says that economic growth is at 3% and unemployment is down, you look like a partisan hack by not even acknowledging that it is good for America.

Except when you know Trump is taking credit for a trend that stated under Obama and, in any case, it's rare for the president to have a direct effect on the economy despite what many have claimed.
