Linda Sarsour: You Have No Right to Tell Us We Can't Kill Jews
Quote | Reply
Linda Sarsour is the hijab-clad doyenne of the leftist "Woman's March" crowd here in the US. How feminist women can square the fact she's a hijab wearer (generally not a good sign that no subjugation of women exists) and is probably a supporter of Islamic, or Sharia, law (“Sharia law is reasonable and once u read into the details it makes a lot of sense. People just know the basics,” Sarsour wrote on social media in 2011), which basically ensures, when followed, that women are subservient, is beyond me. But there you are.

Anyway, in remarks recently given over the whole Israel-Jerusalem-Palestinians never-ending dustup, she said the following:

“Nobody gets to tell an occupied people how to respond to their own oppression and the continued stripping of their humanity, agency and land whether they are Palestinians or not. Nobody. Oppressed people determine how, when and where to resist. They set the parameters.”

In other words, you have no right to tell them they can't kill Jews.

1. Feminists are leftist and leftist see islam as a race (as opposed to an ideology) because they believe islam is practiced only by brown people (which isn’t true), so they must support muslims in order not to appear racist. Racism is the worst evil that can be committed, according to leftist.

What they don’t realized is they are excusing barbaric behavior because the perpetrators of it are brown (and are therefore incapable of acting like civilized people), which makes them (leftists) actually racist.

2. Many feminists are also Victorian in their thinking (see the anti-porn feminists) and see the Hijab as “liberating” because it eliminates female sexuality. We get the concept of “rape culture” from this same thinking but the “rape culture” people fall into two overlapping groups. One is the Victorian feminists who feel that female sexuality (with men) is always bad (dirty) and the other is women who think they can dress like sluts, get drunk, have sex (with a guy who is also drunk) regret it and claim it’s rape.

Both of these types of feminists are actually weakening women by removing the responsibility of their own sexuality from them.

Civilize the mind, but make savage the body.

Instead of rewording what she said and turning it into something far more objectionable to suit your own purposes, why not discuss what she actually did say? I’m curious what part of her actual quote you would find to be untrue.

An oppressed people do resist on their own terms. Isn’t that just a “no duh” comment?

BK cannot think in those terms. Otherwise, he and his ilk could not dub Iraqis and Afghans who fought back against US invasions as "terrorists".

And as for Islam and subservient women: I'm sure there's nothing like that in sects of Christianity, Mormonism, and Judaism.

Wow. A pretty weak OP followed by Duffy taking the weakness to a different level.

Another awesome thread in the LR.
