I spent 3 years largely away from people, traveling around and was almost daily asked if I missed being around people. I wish this came out earlier so I could have responded by asking in response, why on earth would I want to be around people.

I really understand those people who go to live in very remote places, with their dogs and just check out.

You might want to pick up a Biology textbook one of these days and learn what Biology actually has to say on this topic. It's fascinating, really.

If you're really interested to learn something, you could start to read up on the phenomenon of intersex persons (hint: yes, that's a term that's actually defined by physical/physiological attributes)

How many people have physical traits that make them intersex and what are these traits?

Also, what does this have to do with the notion put forth today that we can all choose whether we are male or female and that that personal choice of sex distinction can change on a day to day basis?

As for numbers: about 6 in 10,000 babies are born with a chromosomal status other than the normal XX or XY. Added to that are other causes (androgen insensitivity syndrome, gonadal dysgenesis,...).

It takes a while but within a year or so I was able to survive a day without being asked how I felt, if I had a good sleep, if I was hungry etc. It was hard though because they really wanted to know.

The real struggle was that I couldn't share the important things about my life and that caused a lot of sleepless nights for my friends and family. They had no idea what I ate for breakfast, didn't see me in a selfie trying to prove that I was having waaaaayyyy more fun than they were and had no idea what I was "feeling" at that particular moment. In other words, it was really hard on them not knowing every detail of my life.

Even now that I've been back a few years, I still don't have a phone so I can't speak loudly on it in public places to let everyone around me know what I'm doing. My lack of Facebook friends and my inability to share the highs and lows of going to work everyday and doing grocery shopping has really left a big hole in my life.
