Love those cars! In my life, I've owned a '74 Datsun 260Z, an '83 Nissan 280ZX Turbo, an '85 Nissan 300ZX Turbo and a 1996 Nissan 300ZX Twin-Turbo (my favorite of the bunch). All coupes. None of those girly-man 2+2s. ;-)

P.S. "MAGA" is "Make America Great Again." I was kind of goofing off the Orange-Haired Wonder's campaign slogan from 2016. LOL!

My favorite Corvette body style by far. The split-rear-window and the engine that could be endlessly tuned. I worked with an orthopedic surgeon back in the day, who had more money than sense, and he had the engine on his split-rear-window, resto-modded 'Vette tuned to the point where he had to put aviation gas in the tank because of the octane requirements. Crazy-fast, STUPID, speed. ;-)

The Datsun (we used to call it "DAHT-SOON" ;-) 240Z showed that the Japanese could produce a world-class everyman's sports car, one that could perform as well as it looked, something the British had failed to do for a decade or so prior to the 240Zs arrival. They tried to pick up their game with the Triumph TR7 as a successor to the TR6, but it was too little, too late.

Actually, Corvette has been pretty dominant in international sports car racing. Disappointingly, they recently stopped the factory supported team and opted for a Cadillac team.

I kinda enjoyed watching Corvettes kick hell outta Porsches and Ferraris at LeMans, and I'm not a Corvette fanboy except for the '63 split window. Had to excuse myself to the bathroom when I saw the pic posted above.

You know me to call me an idiot? I will call the kettle black and have you look at the ugly wood paneled minivan that was posted. It has nothing to do with a Corvette or Metris comparison.
