"Higgins" passes

Actor John Tillerman passes today at 84. He played the British gentleman Higgins brilliantly in "Magnum PI". Hard to believe he was from Texas as he nailed the role perfectly. Loved that show in its day. RIP John.

He was great on that show. Also got to use his normal Texas accent in Blazing Saddles.

Even harder to believe he was only 37 when that show started.

I'm beginning to think that we are much more fucked than I thought.

Your math is off by a decade. The show ran 1980-87. He was 47 when the show started. I just can't believe it was that long ago. Loved that show in its time. Higgins and that red Ferrari 308 were the best supporting acts ever.

Ok, that is better. I was wondering what the help was wrong with him. :)

Just read that they are working on a reboot like has been done with Hawaii 5-0.

You’re not giving credit to Apollo and Zeus.

That show really was great. I need to go back and watch it again. I’ve been to Oahu three times as an adult. Twice I drove around the island. Two places I really wanted to spot were The Masters residence and Wallows (for the skaters in the room).

This is one celebrity death that actually makes me sad. What a great actor and a great show.

Thomas Magnum and his buddies left a huge impression on me growing up.

I guess we will never know if Higgins was really Robin Masters.

Freedom just around the corner for you. But with the truth so far off, what good will it do?

I remember the show where Magnum did an Ironman and Higgins kept telling him he was out of his mind.

I was just going ask if were ever got confirmation on that, or if he took it to the grave with him?
