Places that trigger bodily functions...

There are two places that I frequent, both are surf spots, that upon arrival I have an almost immediate need to poop (which I do and thankfully there are bathrooms).

It’s not diarrhea, btw.

This happens EVERY TIME no mater what time of day.

I also sneeze most times while passing by another location (also a surf spot).

A visit to the lumber yard is a guaranteed BM for me. Can't explain it, but it happens every time.

Feel like throwing up most days when I read some of the stuff here in the LR. 🤢

My community has a clubhouse and I sometimes go there to play pingpong against some of the youngsters or one of my buddies. As soon as I'm on the twelfth point of any game I feel the sudden urge to take a dump. Every time.

So there’s something to this.

Maybe I could go to college after all and do a doctoral thesis on this phenomenon.

I'm always amazed by the things I learn here in the LR.

... and then I have to wonder how you knew about this ...

I’m going to have to urinate 15 minutes into every single road trip or car ride that’s over 100 miles. There’s no way around it.

There are also certain places where I’ll get a headache or palpitations 100% of the time before I even leave to go there. That’s because of the company I’ll be with more than the place, though.

Yes, now please go and clean your damn pubes out of the shower. Also, stop leaving your dirty underwear on the bathroom floor, you filthy animal.

Scuba diving, particularly in cold water - have to piss like a racehorse every time. There are actual physiological reasons for that though.

Lumberyards make me need to pee, every time. Now, I pull in, go inside and pee before shopping so I feel like I'm in less of a rush.

I'm sure it's anxiety drive, having spent lots of stressful moments in lumberyards!

Long Chile was a silly place.

Window shopping/browsing of any sort sets me off. Particularly bookstores. And it's an IMMEDIATE need.

And I thought I was the only weird one.

Snowy days. For the life of me, as soon as I go out into the snow I have to pee, like, NOW. Luckily, it doesn't snow often in Vancouver and I don't ski.

The treadmill. Half the time I can be sitting in my chair and think about getting on it, bam. If I actually get dressed and in my gym, by the time I get it turned on and ready to go, bam.

I'm sitting here in my office and thinking about it, bam.

I'm beginning to think that we are much more fucked than I thought.

I wonder if it's the same for libraries? I'll have to ask my daughter about that
