I have been working on this hospital word for about a 1 1/2 of a year. There is this much older, somewhat bitchy, near retirement co-worker who is higher up then I am. Sometimes we work together, often not. During this time I have received many positive feedback from patients and co-workers.
When I went to work, she told me that a patient has complained about me to my supervisor, that she can't talk about what the compliant was because it wasn't her patient and that the supervisor won't be back for 5 days so I will have to wait.
I was quite stressed for a while as I have never had anybody complain about me. But I do find her conduct quite bitchy/petty, emotional manipulation. It wasn't her patient, so why is she telling me this? She must know that complaints can cause stress especially if one doesn't know what it is and especially if you don't know and have to wait 5 days to find out.
I am not too worried about the complain as I know the patient and can't think of anything that I did wrong.
So, once I find out what the complaint is what do I do? Even If I did do something wrong, I find the conduct of this co-worker very inappropriate.
