I elected to watch the Tour de France at 5:00pm so I could workout this morning, I avoided all the outlets (social media, news media) that may spoil the results for me. I tune in at 5pm, which is the start of Stage 4 on NBC Sports, and they start their show with the results (of stage 4) and all the news of the day. WTF is wrong with them?

This has bugged the shit out of me for years. You'd think it would be rule number 1 in the replay handbook. Usually for me it's happened with soccer games when I've recorded a replay of the match and the bastards scroll the result of the match right across the bottom of the screen as you're watching it.

At the end of the earlier airing of the race, it was announced that the results would be discussed. Doing so at the beginning got people to tune into the entire two hours of chatter to watch the crash(es) in the last few meters. Now, this 35 minutes plus discussion of the event is more annoying than finding out the results at 5p.
