Hey yall, I need a little advice from anybody in eastern Washington or te Idaho panhandle.
I'm looking to just heading out this weekend and kill some time, log some miles, and waste some gas with my girlfriend. We've covered the Palouse pretty good, and i'm looking for more mountainous/forest this weekend than rolling wheat fields.
I'm wondering if there are any good peaks to drive to or mountains that are relatively drivable. For example, both Mica peaks are gated off, and the Washington peak (unsure about Idaho) is federal land, so i'm not looking to trespass there...
I'm thinking maybe head over to the east side of cda, or up north by pend oreille. I've got quality maps but they don't show gates and stuff 🤷🏼♂️
Anyone got anywhere fun for me to drive?
Regardless, any destination i'm given will just be the start. We like a little spontaneity in our drives :)
Also this weekend i'm in my crosstrek so relatively capable, but not the jeep I get to drive sometimes.
