Maybe it's just me, but the John Wayne version isn't as complex, I actually prefer the Jeff Bridges version.

I know he was and I know Glenn Campbell was horrible. But I still have to go with the original.

The Coen brothers' version is one of my all-time favorite movies. Only thing I would change is better CGI for the rattlesnakes.
