The great thing about Fresno is it demonstrates people are capable of living just about anywhere.

I think I remember the PBA Professional (Professional Bowler) I saw on TV.........wearing a breathe-right strip.......was from Fresno.

Fresno gets a 900,000 SF Amazon fulfillment center and has the best speller in the USA!

I was planning a vacation to Thailand but that was before I heard the best speller in the USA was from Fresno so my plans are changing...

As they say, the best part about living around here is that it is close to a lot of great things.

Friend of mine recently looked into taking a Job there at the Medical Center that on paper sounded like a great opportunity .....
Came back from Interviewing and had just one comment:

They didn't offer enough 'pain and suffering'.

Native of LA here, but moved to CT (the state) in 3rd grade. My mom's family was in Porterville, then Fresno. Instead of stand alone houses like in P-ville, some had moved into these super neato complexes with a pool. When I got to visit again after moving, in Jr high (?), I had a souvereer shirt airbrushed (used to be a thing in the 80's) with the design modified to include the town name (Fresno) in addition to the state name.

I eventually came to understand neither trailer parks nor that town were anything for me to aspire to. The girl airbrushing that shirt - wonder if she was working hard to suppress laughing at me...

To the OP - does FAT still sort luggage on a table in front of the airport?

Ha, I lived in Visalia when I was a toddler and swam there as a teenager a few times. It's smaller though so it probably doesn't suck as bad as Fresno. Here's what comes to mind: heat, crime, crop dusters, and valley fever.

No, that was early on in the TSA era. We experienced it first hand on a Hawaiian vacation where certain items of a sexual nature were on full display.
