I'm not going to unexplain this to you. I'm going to do something much worse -- give this some context.
Generally accepted economic principles:
1.) freer markets produce better economic results
2.) the amount you earn for labor depends on where you work and your work product.
Natural conclusions from principles and data:
1.) Generally speaking, Sweden has become more economically free over the past 20 years.
2.) Sweden's economic numbers are improving.
3.) Generally speaking, the United States has not become more economically free over the past 20 years.
4.) The USA lags Sweden's relative growth rate over the last 20 years.
5.) Despite the relative changes, the USA is still moderately more economically free than Sweden (overall taxes in the USA are higher than the article quotes)
6.) People of Swedish heritage make more money in the USA than they do in Sweden.
We should all support Sweden's move to a freer economy.
It's ironic that some would try to spin the good results of making an economy more free in such a way to make it seem like less freedom is generally better.
