Produce butcher?

A cutting board and knife would be cheaper than paying someone to chop up $2.99 a pound cauliflower for $1 per pound.

Prepared fruits and veggies is a big money maker for grocery retailers. I'm a manager for a retail chain and we sell around 5k week/avg just in chopped up fruit and veggies at my location. With about a 60% gross profit avg.

Customers seem to love it. Lazy fucks!

Do it a few times and money spent would buy a decent mandoline or processor.

Cauliflower is kind of a pain and messy to cut up. But there is always the precut bagged stuff.

Stay away from the mandolin! I've had lots of people come in missing the tip of the finger, and there's just nothing to sew. Takes a while to heal.

I'll never question why someone pays for convenience... but I do wonder why someone needs professionally-chopped cauliflower.

Aside from the thick, core pieces (that require a knife), I generally just break it down with my hands. Two cups probably doesn't take more than a minute.
