The one I had briefly cost the original owner nearly $23,000 including sales tax and an SRM power meter. And in his case, and others, it looked to me like specialized and/or dealers had quietly reached out to customers like Barry Bonds and a certain bike team owner and offered them the opportunity to ... lay out a metric ton of money for a bike with an actual McLaren carbon layup scheme.... not a small thing.
The paint job on these is incredible quality. Should be on a wall, framed.
