I surfed a spot on Kauai where (it seemed) that SUPs and surfers would take shifts.
Up until about 10:30 am there were no SUPs. From 10:30-2:30 it was all SUPs. After that (usually) it was back to surfers until about an hour before dusk when pretty much everyone got out of the water.
I'm pretty sure that if I paddled out on a SUP at 8;00 I'd be vibed.
