Do you hear that JSA? It's the sound of a another car door closing on the Trump train.

We've now reached the point where ardent opponents have turned. At this point those who do not get on board sooner than later will only look more ridiculous.

This is perhaps the most important paragraph in the whole page.

“On the staff side, this is a combination of a number of things: It’s inertia, it’s partisan muscle memory and, unfortunately, it’s just a sense of people who don’t want to stall their careers for a cycle,” said Tim Miller, a sought-after GOP communications specialist who worked during the primary for former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and later for a super PAC that tried to stop Trump. “Whether you like it or not, if you want to continue to be involved in politics at the national level right now, you’re going to have to work with Trump in some manner.”

So if Ryan wants any future, he better get on that Train by the convention, and you better do it before he does.

Remember, I'm doing this for you, so you don't have to come in here in October and say, OK Forge, you were right, I'm going to do it.

"In the world I see you are stalking elk through the damp canyon forests around the ruins of Rockefeller Center. You'll wear leather clothes that will last you the rest of your life. You'll climb the wrist-thick kudzu vines that wrap the Sears Towers. And when you look down, you'll see tiny figures pounding corn, laying stripes of venison on the empty car pool lane of some abandoned superhighway." T Durden

Eh. Not really a political statement, and not really anything to do with Ryan. All the guy is saying is that he's a professional campaign staffer and wants to keep getting paid by someone- anyone- from now until the election.

In other words, he's a whore.

Some conservatives still haven't lost their minds.

"The Ohio governor said he can’t back Trump with his current negativity, scapegoating and willingness to “run people into the ditch.”
“Unless I see a fundamental change in that approach, it’s really hard for me to do a merger,” he said during an interview today in his Statehouse office with The Dispatch and Cleveland.com.
“Think of it as a merger of two companies. If the values are not somewhat similar, if the culture is not somewhat similar, it’s pretty hard to do a merger,” he said, sipping coffee while seated at the head of a conference table."

I'm beginning to think that we are much more fucked than I thought.

They are all whores, but these whore run Washington. And you need to play with the whores if you want to get their support. Do you think Ryan could pull a populist run like Trump?

Hell no, he will need establishment support. With inertia in Trumps favor, even if he loses, he will have key people in place who ryan will need to gain favor with. Like I said, for decades, conservatives and other republicans were fed lines like "you have to go with the guy who won the nomination", "the lesser of two evils", etc. Basically told to take it for the team. Now these hold outs don't want to do the same. Well their going to if they want to ever ask that same favor for their benefit.

Erick Ericson is getting a lot of airtime for being the most vocal anti-trump person ever. He was a back bencher before, and maybe he thinks this will help his career, but I think he is on a suicide mission. He'll become a good example of those who don't get in line.

No. But I think Ryan will be in Washington long after Trump is gone, even if Trump manages to upset Hilary. Ryan's situation is not at all analogous to the shill you quoted.

I actually like Kasich... But I liked him a lot more before the election. He showed his true stripes as a whiny bitch towards the end.

I understand the tough emotions but he needed to keep them in check. My man Cruz lost me at the end. Neither bowed out with dignity.

I could write this very thing. Cruz is obviously positioning himself for another run, but there is a reason he ran so soon. His inability to get along with, well anybody, would be old by the time his next opportunity arose. Sure, he is a hero to the talk radio circuit and he was a breath of fresh air. But eventually your true colors come out and I didn't like what I saw.

He'll be there on stage with Trump. His head will be so far up Trump's ass you won't recognize him but he'll be there.

I've seen this a ton on my sphere. People who were totally emotionally out of sorts 'fuck him I'll never vote for that ass hole no matter what I'm voting for anyone but him!'. This is the first time I'm happy to be on facebook so I can watch the transformations on posts they are lining up in support of him left and right. Until the past few months I logged on maybe once am onth now I get on a couple of times a week. Even the Bush Clan sycophants.
