There are a lot of trail runs in Austin. Depends how technical you want to get.

Barton Creek greenbelt is a good trail.

Emma Long is a motorcycle/mtb trail, not really a running trail.

Thanks for that. I don't do much trail running, or mt biking, these days, so I was just naming stuff! ;)

If you run in the Greenbelt, I'd use either the MoPac or HW 360 entrance. If you enter at Barton Springs, it is really rocky in places and you have to pay to park on the weekends.

I'll throw in Bull Creek as a possibility... make sure it's dry though!

You don't have to pay if you get there before 9 AM. Also, the pool is free before 9 AM

Does this belong in the shower vs. bath thread?

Thanks everybody. Had a great run in Austin. got lost in the green belt trails, turned a 5 mile run into about a 13/14 mile run, but it was awesome. hit the big pool afterwards to cool off. neat city. thanks for the suggestions.
