Same here. But, I call that place "the kitchen."

I'm up in SLO, Cambria, morro bay twice a month and eat at Taco Temple quite a bit.

The Rose (Haley) used to be a staple for me, the mrs and my in laws. When mrs Duffy's mom died it fell out of rotation. These days we have Duffy jr with us and won't eat anything there.

I go there for chilaquiles now after morning Jiu Jitsu. Will probably start getting back there more.

Btw, next time you're in SB go to Los Agaves on Milpas. Very good.

I-5 to H, turn left, over tracks look to your left. Shares lot with a gas station.

Watch your back if you go at night down there.

chilaquiles - Fidel's in Solana Beach is great. All the food. Not the Carlsbad location
Tacos - El Indio off 5 near the airport. 5 roll taco plate. Mmmmmmm
Lengua and the assorted 'other' meat - can't help you but if you go more south of downtown should be easy to find ETA: just did a quick Yelp search - you can't wag a cow's tongue anywhere in SD without hitting a taqueria with lengua.
