The mayor did a pretty poor job handling the whole crisis, but he sounded great today. This guy is no dummy. He may be exactly the kind of guy to start bringing the city back.
We will see if Bush does as well tonight.

I'm not sure why he seemed to be the right wing's whipping boy. Even if you want to be partisan, I think Blanco screwed up much worse.

Blanco did screw up big time but Nagin is responsible for New Orleans so the majority of the blame goes to him for this disaster.
Blanco was, and continues to be a disaster. Nagin was a disaster, but seems to be rallying. The feds dropped the ball to some extent, but they seem to be doing very well now.
Plenty of blame to go around for the past, but let's try to build for the future.
