Since I dont think that Israel's response to the Netanya bombing was unduly harsh at all (unlike some past incidents), I think the Vatican's is just getting irritated now.

That might be so, and to tell you the truth, I don't blame them. (And while Israel's response to Netanya might not have been overly harsh, they also have a point there in saying that it would be hard to issue condemnations for every Palestinian attack, while not saying anything about the Israeli response, which is often out of bounds, at least from the Vatican's perspective. Maybe Israel should be happy the Vatican just leaves them alone and unmentioned, no?)
