FS: 50mm Carbon Tubulars-new

I have a set of 50mm Carbon Tubulars that I've never ridden. I took them out of the box to make sure USPS didn't damage them, and to take pictures, but they've never had tires mounted.

They're the 2009 version of these:

Skewers, valve extensions, brake pads all included-never taken out of the packaging.

Make me an offer.

Bump for the Monday crowd, and to note that these wheels don't have the in-house Hawk Racing bearings that they're using for 2010.

Kind of like when Norm and Cliff ate at the Hungry Heffer. They had ordered the Bef and Lubster. ;)

Your guess is as good as mine. You can watch the videos on their website to see their explanation of them. As noted, though, these wheels DO NOT have those in-house Hawk bearings, and are NOT ceramic.

I haven't seen or used the wheels with those bearings, or the in-house bottom bracket they made, but that's what they're focused on now as they are no longer doing frames.

How much are you looking to get for these?

I may be interested, but I'm certainly not impressed with their knowledge... read http://www.hawk-racing.com/frames/technology.htm

A cycling company that spend so much time explaining the difference in bearings should know that the rating system of roundness is ABEC (Annular Bearing Engineering Committee), not APEC. A (repeated) mistake like that may be minor, but it doesn't help their credibility!

Beston,

Feel free to shoot me an offer.

The guys that run the company are not native speakers, but that doesn't let them off the hook for their typos. I corrected quite a few in the marketing literature myself.

These wheels are essentially the same as all of the other "generic branded" ones that are available. There's no in-house parts to them if you're worried about that. That said, I haven't heard anything negative about the stuff they've made, and the founder seems like a pretty bright guy despite his non-native english.

Thanks

Last bump.

No one wants a bargain set of wheels? Make me an offer, I'd rather not deal with ebay.
