fiberlyte is flexy as all hell. look for an FSA, those are stiff!!! if you are half as into efficiency as I think you are, stay away from fiberlyte!!!!

Cannot hurt ? I have them and I got used to them right away. My pedal stroke seems smoother and a bit more efficiant now. Also feels better when I get on my other tribike with traditional round ring.

I am only a HR guy and use my polar watch only. I do log mostly everything with HR speed and distance. I have went from a 17 mph to a 22.5 mph-23 mph. In a matter of 3 years. But have only had Q rings for about 5 or 6 months. I did AG win and place top 10 iin a sprint after I had them. But in all honesty I think some of the fast local comp were somewhere else or did not show because of a crappy rainy day.

Does 1 tooth **really** make that much of a difference in your gearing plan? That's less than 2% (using an 11T vs. 12T rear small cog is 9%....). You can probably find a 54 tooth FSA ring easily (I've got one you can have for shipping, if you want it).

its not just the gearing, its the principle of bothering with an insignificant aerodynamic benefit while making the ring larger and this insignificantly less aero in another way.

its just madness

I won't use a 54 until fabian uses a 55 ;)

Jack,

I have all those reports you are asking for. Just send me $379.95 and I'll email them to you.

Oh yeah, one more thing.....what direction do you want those reports to read, in favor of Q Rings or round rings? : )
