Brand new Ultegra SL Derailleurs that were a take off from a new bike. Never ridden, still have the plastic protective sheets and ring alignment guide on them.

i am going to sound dumb. What is the difference between short cage and regular for a der.?
A short cage rear derailleur has a shorter cage holding the two pulleys. It is meant for a double front gear setup. A long cage has a longer cage and therefore can take up more chain slack and is meant for a triple gear crank.
