Movie: Seen Garden State?

I saw it last night, and I liked it. Just like an extended episode of Scrubs without the voiceover and fewer medical jokes and annoying side characters, but with more drug taking and a touch more poignancy.

Anyone else?

I'm glad you said that. I didn't know if I was being overly sensitive or not. I thought Natalie Portman was good, which wasn't something I expected from her.

on the other hand, Vanity Fair was disappointing...some parts were skipped (movie is long but to give the intensity of the thackeray's novel, it should be longer still).

open water: sucked.

paparazzi: sucked

I try to see a movie every week if I can fit it in. Sometimes more if there are a few good ones in the theaters. I haven't seen Garden State yet, but probably will this weekend.

if someone wants to see Wicker Park, I strongly suggest you rent "l'Appartement" instead...it's the original movie (in french) with Monca Bellucci and Vincent Cassel (much better movie)

Much hotter girl.

I saw Hero last week and it was awesome. The use of color to tell the story combined with awesome martial arts was great.

only problem I had with the movie was the level of noise...soundtrack (not music, the whole soundtrack) was really agressive at times...

as for Bellucci, indeed, much much hotter...

i can see that. It wasn't too bad at the theater I went to, and I got wrapped up in the story so I didn't have that much trouble with it.
