I know most people think local government news is about as boring as watching wood rot, but I, along with hundreds of others, have finally gotten Williamson County to pony up the money they promised years ago for a large hike/bike trail.

I know most of you don't live around my parts (Leander, born and raised), but it can be beautiful down here, not all of Texas is pancake flat.

It is always nice to see new trails open.

Also, my good buddy David Siebold won place 6 on the Leander city council, he's been a big proponent of the trail and city parks.

It's good to see local governments make good forward progress.
