I must admit that doing this on an organised scale had never occured to me and I am not sure that I like the idea.

BAsically the sites pairs you up with a voter with opposing views in another state so that you can vote for a third party without damaging the chances of the democrat/republician candidate in your state.

Not sure how you demonstrate that you cast your vote the way that you promise to though.

Good or bad idea?

Probably a bad idea. It isn't supposed to be illegal at the federal level, but it might be depending on your state.

Gutless idea. If people are so damn worried about hurting a particular candidates chances of getting elected, the American solution is to vote for that candidate.

Even if this is not illegal, it should be. Too much room for fraud IMHO.
