I'm assuming this is their midnight madness. Yes its a real thing. Basically the first day the NCAA allows the teams to officially start practice. Most schools make it a public practice/pep rally starting the practice at 12:01am.

Yep, it's real. That's why they refer to themselves as Cameron Crazies. Duke's & UNC's mid night madness all over the news here in the RTP.

Duke does it up a bit, but they're certainly not the only school that does a big PEP rally for midnight madness. I think we might have done these back 20-some years ago even at USNA.
