Road deaths are probably high there relative to road use.
In terms of fatalities to population, you’re more likely to be killed in a road accident in the U.S. (6 times the population, nearly 10 times the fatalities) than in Kenya. Then again, Britain has less than half the deaths that Kenya does despite a slightly higher population (and much much bigger traffic).
