Trumpcession

Who knows? I know!

The GOP willingly letting the economy crash is bad.

I’m seeing the term ā€œOrange Mondayā€ floating around social media.

But is there a better way to crash the economy so that you can take over the entire govt. and be its savior? To me it looks like they are doing exactly what they planned to, just that they didnt let their voters in on this before the election…

Stupidity is usually a better explanation than conspiracy.

But Trump is proving remarkable adept at destroying prosperity.

You actually could end it via congress. You couldn’t end Covid via congress.

I read an article on Yahoo that the GOP is considering asserting its authority over tariffs because they are afraid of a ā€œmid-term decimationā€. We may be approaching the point that the cowards are more afraid of voters than they are of trump. If he pulls his ā€œthen I will primary youā€ they might decide that a decimated trump is better than a decimated GOP and might be willing to go along with an impeachment vote.

Their main fear would be Fox, and a couple of hundred Republican congress members might carry more sway than trump who is aging.

Sounds to me like they have to say something to placate their constituents. I’m sure we are months away from them actually taking action.

I live in a red district in a blueish/purplish state. My congress person has taken that tact of not holding in person townhalls so as not to bother himself with seeing the unhappiness of his constituents. Something tells me it needs to get a lot worse before enough of the R congress people like him are brave enough to challenge king trump. Remember, you are never going to get Mike Johnson, Boebert, MTG, etc…. So you need a whole lot of guys like my congress person. There is a long way to go for that.

This is true. At least from economic standpoint. Socially not so much. Much of the developed Western world has put itself in a position (Canada included) vulnerable to Trump’s machinations.

I haven’t paid much attention, is Stauber as much of a piece of work as Emmer? Every time I get an email from the Emmer office I regret emailing them about conservation bills he always votes agasint.

I think that is a nuanced question. Emmer is more vocal about is idiocy/assholishness but that might be because of his role as whip. Stauber tries to keep a low profile but is always there to shove his nose up trumps ass when the opportunity arises. I feel Stauber really is a POS becuase he was a police officer and now supports a president that basically said it is ok to assault police officers as long as i say so. Also, he has a special needs son and supports a president that has openly said why dont you just let special needs people die. So, there is that.

US workers feel effects of Trump cuts: ā€˜I am seeing my work dry up’

Farmers devastated as pending crisis threatens future crops: ā€˜This … will force farms to close’

Trump tariffs conjure specter of Smoot-Hawley Act, a Depression-era blunder

You know, this is all really Biden’s fault. He built such a shaky economy that a single person was able to crash it in less than 3 months.

So. Much. Winning.

10 year going vertical…. Not good

Interest rates are going up because of the surge in demand for capital from US firms planning those huge increases in domestic output. Or not.

Is there any good explanation as to why the yields are going up? Where are people putting their money?
