i think they have enough to stay up…pink…
Good matchup between Liverpool and Man Utd, just finished.
Good 2nd half, back and forth scoring, and freezing rain. Well earned point for both teams.
Yeah I watched too, great game. You mention the freezing rain. I tip my cap to the EPL fans, they’re a hearty lot. It was driving, freezing rain hard the entire game and the place was packed and into it.
Most of that stadium is covered (attended a match in December pouring rain in 2007). Although it looks like quite a leak was happening in the remodeled Kop End.
That match had me worried all week. I knew ManUre was going to play up. I was worried we would play down and we did. Trent looked horrendous.
As an aside, the Nottingham Forest fans have to be loving this. It is been something like 40+ years since they were at this end of the table.
Some drama in the locker room for Liverpool. Hopefully they decide to forfeit their next match and do a team building activity instead.
Although it’s been decades ago, ‘Forest were one of my favorite teams as a kid growing up. Good to see them up there. Derby County was another. I don’t even know what tier the Rams are these days.
Not surprising that Nunez is in the mix. Must be that Uruguayan thing.
Poor D gave up the tying goal. Seemed like both teams really wanted the 3 points.
As a Forest fan, I can confirm that we are absolutely loving it. Still expect a regression to the norm at some point, but for now it’s amazing. We finished 3rd in 1994-1995, which at the time seemed like a bit of a return to normal, but the past thirty years have shown it was anything but and will make the most of it while it lasts.
Also, my dad has had a season ticket at Anfield for 60 years and is likely to have to give it up due to my mum’s ill health, so if they can win the league it’ll be a nice way to end for him (plus we’re the only side that have beaten them so far, which made my Christmas dinner with them more fun!)
Derby are in Championship and lost to top of the table Leeds 1-0 on the 29th. Derby is currently 18th and 4 points shy of relegation.

It’s fun to hear from the Forest fans in this thread, what a great story! It’s similar to when Leicester won it all. A lot of fans were excited to have someone different at the top–me included.
i was a university student in Nottingham for most of the 80s - undergrad and PhD, and although i am a Leeds fan at heart there has been a bit of warmth for Forrest since my time there…even for Mr Clough …who several pundits have mentioned first took over at Forrest 50 years ago this week.
They are really fun to watch this year - especially the combo of Elanga, Hudson-Odoi, Gibbs-White, and Wood. Those fast breaks with the wingers bombing forward remind me of Leeds under Bielsa - that first season in the prem…only Forrest have a rock-solid defense behind them. i don’t think they will fall too far unless they pick up a few injuries…and no european football has to help with that
Will have to tune in to try to watch their games. Saw they won 3-0 vs. Wolves this week, who are hovering in the relegation zone.
Hope 'Forest stays up throughout the second half of the season. Be fun to have them compete in the Champions league.

Sometimes. But there are potentially good games, in both sports, on tap for today.
Just replying in general. Tottenham taken to extra time today by a 5th tier team made up of part time players. I absolutely love the FA cup.
Only Spurs could beat Liverpool and then a few days later struggle against a semi pro team
The fun of the FA cup … the upsets, or near upsets.
El Classico nearing half time… Entertaining first half, high quality goals.
… and another one! Lopsided score right now.
