Sweet looking rig, would still love to see some real world aero data on this frame.
Tempted to do some very unofficial testing against my old Exo 3 for my interest, but happy to share here.
So, mine is on the way.
I would like to buit it up with some 105Di2 Components from my other elves bike.
But i am a bit disappointed cuz for shimano and disc brake you can only go with the expensive ST-R9180 Shifters. Other Options are the TRP T910H brakes but they look ugly. So i m happy to see this built with the Riderever Triva which r a good alternative. i think i dont need shifters on the basebar. so i will go for the bar end shifters SW-R9160 BUT here also the problem: to run 12speed you need to update. And updating these seems to be complicated, cuz you need adapters (expensive one) or running update from connecting by an 11speed bike.
Also there should be a hydraulic disc brake from Ltwoo RX9 but could not find a shop.
regards
Have a look at Build a 12-speed Di2 Time Trial / Triathlon bike . He indicates you can uses an adapter ew-ad305 in your downtube, which will connect the 12spd shifters with 11spd. Looking online, the adapter is about $25. There is also a section on what you need to do to update the 11sp parts
I, for one, would be really interested in your opinion and the âvery unofficialâ results you might gather
Traditional warranty? Canyon announced a stop ride for the Speedmax in November. I havenât ridden my bike in going on four months. Canyon still hasnât shipped a fork and neither Canyon nor the bike ship can tell me when I can expect a replacement. I live in Munich - literally the same country as the headquarters and Iâm unable to get a rideable bike. Canyon refuses to give the slightest bit of compensation, so now my warranty is running without me being able to ride the bike. Iâll take my chances with the ânon traditionalâ companies.
cuz?
Holy cow! That is the kind of instructions that should exist for everything!
They sell a lot of bikes, but Canyon is also non-traditional to save cost by not having a dealer network. That seems to a big part of remedying this problem.
You can currently get a P-Series frame set for $300 more and list is $800 more and there are two bike shops within 15 minutes of me that would have Cervelo parts. Not sure this is the deal it seems.
For the guys who have the frame - Iâve put up the 3d files for the twin bottle BTA system here, if you wanted to print and add to your bike:
I got caught up in the spec sheet when I bought my Canyon. I have multiple Cervelo dealers in my area that would have at least been able to put me on a rental. My next bike will be from a traditional manufacturer⌠and thanks for the tip on the frame pricing! Iâm going to stop by a local shop to discuss a new P Series frame.
Since itâs been a few weeks, I was hoping someone has had a chance to test out the frame and report back. How it rides, how stiff it is (especially in the back end) and if itâs comfortable. Elves does a great job of making good looking bikes, but there is no data out there, and I just canât trust the youtube influencers who are most likely getting paid. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks to the person who linked my video on this bike a little while ago, also to the person who shared the print file for the BTA setup as I have had this printed too. I should have this built up and test ridden by the end of April, the weather has been garbage in the UK recently and I just havenât got round to finishing the build.
Youâre right to be cautious of the online âreviewsâ and I know that the comment wasnât aimed directly at me, but for transparency Elves gave me a discount on the frame in exchange for making content about the bike, which I have and will make clear in every video where I give my opinion on the bike. I donât have a brief, they donât see or approve any of the videos, it just really helped enable me actually get my hands on one as Elves werenât giving them out and I already have a Tri bike for 2025, so I wouldnât have bought one at full RRP to make $20 in YouTube ad revenue.
Looking forward to getting out on it and sharing my thoughts with you all
Daniel
My frame has already arrived too.
Thinking going to buy the riderever triva brake as seen on your built.
How did you fit the hydraulic cable to the brakelever? Do i need extra parts? Olive? Barb? Pins?
When buying riderever triva it looks like they will only come with brake cable, caliper, rotors and adapter. Do i need extra parts? Olive? Barb? Pins?
Thanks
nobody an idea?
Hoping to get my wet this weekend if the weather holds. Will post up
Normally it comes with a set of olives and needles for the brake caliper side. The lever side hose uses a different type of âneedleâ that you donât want to cut u less you have spares.
Jeroen
The two sets I got came assembled and with fluid in them. Had to buy a hose kit with barbs and olives as the hoses were too short to do both front and back after having to cut the ends to route the hoses.
SO, i just finished Built Up!
I only had a few things that does not work very well.
-
I stucked with the rear brake cable in the frame housing. the cable hits the wall from the frame. i only got fix it using ,tesafilm" (kind of german, tape ). i had need to tape about 15cm from the brake cable with tape and need to pull heavy to the bottombrake.
-
Front Brake Cable, it was so painful to see if i got the front brake cable healthy thru the fork. it stucks serveral times, and i need to pull very hard from the top.

BIGGEST Issue: Nobody tells how to built it up. there is no instruction.
After a few rides, there was a noise comming from stem riding over chobbles. I check a few things but everything was so tight, all screws. at the end i noticed, that there is a small hexagone socket (dont know english word) inside the bottom of the stem. this screw is for keeping a space between the massive fork and stem. if this is not put well together, the stem will pound on the fork which i hope creates my noise. i just fixed this but i dont had time to test if there will be a noise again.
I also need to check how the water hydation bag will fit inside the frame. because my battery sit a bit too close to headset. because i dont had a longer di2 cable installed which connects battery to y splitter inside the stem.
i wondered a bit about a flex from the handlebar, but it seems to be normal.
Thanks for the help setting up brake:
My Riderever brake just come with the levers, rotos and calipers. no pin or olives. putting lever and cable housing to gether was easy. But for cutting i used shimano pin and shimano olive at caliper side. that was not a problem.
also bleeding works with a cheap bleedsing set from amazon.
But there was one issue with the brakes itself. the riderever braking pads come with a cooling attachment. when installing brake pads everything was fine. BUT with the cooling attachment the brake does not work perfekt. the praking pads blocks the rotors: without the cooling attachment: the braking pads come close together parallel. so no issues.
but when installing the cooling attachment the pads will come croked. there is no chance that they will parallel.
But i m happy to finished! regrads
This is great, thanks very much. I gave up with the front hose, will re-visit this weekend.
