Interesting! That’s not even anything close to the Falco TT frames, which was my original thought.
Just seen GPlama’s video from the Shanghai bike expo 2025 @9:50 into the video, JAVA bikes had a Tri/TT bike on show. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2z5mcIbDlx0
Dan- Any chance you can provide an update on your test rides of the Elves frame? I see a lot of posts on this thread talking about the build, but no one is actually saying how the bike rides. Is it firm, is there any flex in the beam, how responsive is it? Does the back end feel loose, is the fit odd, etc. And in your case, since you have so many bikes, how does it perform compared to your other triathlon frames? thank you!
It’s built, I have it back, had a fit on it yesterday and test spin tomorrow!
Hi Dan- Any luck on getting a ride in? I saw your first impressions video on your page, but have you had a chance to ride it yet? I would love to know how it compares to your other tri bikes with regards to stiffness, responsiveness etc. I love the unique look, but I am comparing it to a QR Vpri and a Scott plasma which are both a little more money, but more “pro level” bikes. I do wonder if the more expensive brands are legitimately better bikes, or if they just charge more for the name.
Scott plasma looks like it would be a pain to live with, but tbh I’d definitely buy the QR over this. Elves bikes have a reputation for not riding well, and given some of the lines look a little suboptimal structurally, i suspect it’s pretty heavy to make up for it
Thanks for watching! I’ve only ridden it once so don’t feel that I can draw any serious conclusions, unfortunately I got ill the night before a triathlon last weekend so it just sat in transition. I’ll get out on it in the next couple of weeks though, I’m trying to get a mate to ride it too for another opinion.
Video below if anyone is interested in my first impressions
Hi all, it’s been really helpful finding this thread as I am looking for my first triathlon bike. The Elves Amanyar has definitely caught my attention.
Is anyone with one able to share some real world insight about the bike from races or rides? Keen to understand how it feels beyond the amazing photos of it.
Cheers!
Gabbi rides one and is super happy with it.
She probably could chime in, but has other things to worry about right now. ![]()
I just want to chime in here to say that a $9000 bike doesn’t really fit in a “cost friendly” thread. ![]()
Awful to see, wishing Gabbi a speedy recovery ![]()
Amazing looking bike.
Was it easy to fit the vision base bar to the frame as I haven’t seen many that don’t use the aeroray base bars?
Thanks!
As there a lack of any adjustability on the tilt/angle on the bars (annoying!) I found 15’ degree adaptors from Winow (WINOWCYCLE Fabrik HB052 Lenker Ersatzteile 20 mm Abstandshalter Computerhalterung Adapter Basisstange Armpolster Verbindungsbrücke für ARB02 - AliExpress 18)
They bolt straight on to the Elves raisers and cross bar and then the default M5 bolts from the Vision pads when straight in. They do 10/15/20 and 25 degree adaptors. Will upload a photo later
That would be really helpful! How have you found the bike when riding?
Which Vision aerobars are you using?
I’m very close to getting this set up myself so would love any insight into your experience?
Bars are the Vision TFE Pro bars (Large). Didn’t like the included ones.
it’s my first TT bike, so hard to say how it compares. wasn’t going to spend 1000s on a bike I will use sparingly, and this is an absolute steal for the money
I feel it rides really nice, good feedback from the bars and confidence while in the TT bars. Obviously very aggressive vs a road bike.
Integrated hydration isn’t good as the brake hoses internally get in the way so I’ve ditched that. Design and printed my own BTA bottle holder
For a tool kit I got a crono tool box of Esty which is ideal.
Thanks very much for sharing your insights and photos.
Waiting for some feedback from my bike fitter but I’m thinking of something close to your set up.
Thanks for the help!
