Elves Amanyar - Cost Friendly TT Frame for 2025

I’d rather take a Cervelo P-series or PX-series or BMC Timemachine TT or some other 2020 frameset.

The primary reason being afraid of a potential inferior design of the Elves bike - it’s an unusual shape which might require specific carbon design & layering knowledge, which might’ve been a place where the costs were cut.

XL frames does not show up often in the used market.
I was looking at an used px series frameset last month, but it went for more than 3k€ (initial asking was 4k+).
P-series and Speedmax CF seems to be the only frames that one can get used paying not much more than the Elves, but both are not a good fit for me.

Are you still interested in a XL plasma 6 frame set, i might can get you a good deal.

I mean it’s still my dream frame and I would like to go to something modern for next year. Not sure I could swing even a good deal right now though, but I’ll send you a message!

My Elves Amanyar frame has arrived.

AMA

Will be a slow winter project for me to build it up.

Tried to reach out to them on Instagram but no response. Do you see any reason why you couldn’t run a different stem/bar combo? Standard 1 1/8" steerer tube, correct? Only concern would be how little space there is behind the steerer tube with that top tube.

If I had to buy a bike today without breaking the bank I’d 100% go with the Van Rysel tri bike. Not as dirt cheap as the Elves but actually tested and GREAT bike for the price.

The stem looks like a knock off the Profile Designs Aeria Ultimate

so much so that I’ve seen the Aeria front hydration on the similar designs of the bike from Falco.

It’s a standard steerer tube, just has some fairing in front.

But even I’m looking at down the road moving to a Vision one piece as I already have TFE Pro bars.

Any chance you could measure the gap between the top tube and the back edge of the steerer tube? Looks pretty slim there. For reference the Alpha One needs 14mm of space to fit.

Here you go

Sorry about the cling film - but I’m sure to scratch the paint before too long while putting it together so trying to give myself some chance not too LOL

Perfect! Thanks for the pictures. So looks like something like the Alpha One would definitely work. I’m intrigued by the reach and I’ve always loved off the wall designs.

Keep us posted on the thread with any thoughts you have as you go through the build please!

Your build is a looker. Very nice color and cockpit. That front wheel needs a review all by itself. Intrigued.

Really pretty nice buit. I just saw your other thread about sizing question.

i’am same height as you 172cm but inseam is about 80cm. cant decide between size 45 or 48, i am a bit unsure about reach because the toptop is way more longer than my canyon speedmax. also i could move saddle 1-2cm to the front.

can you please tell my wich seatheight your saddle is. for me i need 72cm from bottom bracket.

what color is that

thanks in advance

Hi Christian,

I too was conflicted between the 45cm and the 48cm sizes as I was on the cusp of the two also… in the end I went for the 48cm

You can see from the photo, I’ve had to cut an awful lot off the saddle post to get it down to my required length. (700mm from BB to top of saddle). The reach for me hasn’t been an issue, based on using my current bike I was able to get the same reach.

Color is Chameleon Lake Blue, Gloss Black and a Gloss White stripe. Custom design I did, when they offered it for free, as I wasn’t taken by the options offered. Even I think its pretty cool and turned out really nice, only mistake they made was putting the Elves logo behind the front tube, on the frame, but not fussed as I can’t see if.

Apologies on hijacking this thread.

Just wanted to share my recently built Elves Amanyar. The build is almost complete, just waiting on some bar-end adaptors to fit the blips.

I’ve been really impressed with the value of this frame, especially considering the price and the 5-year warranty. I did consider going for a P-Series, but with new frames currently at £3K, I was a tad hesitant.

Looking forward to taking it out for a proper ride, just waiting for the UK weather to warm up a bit! Happy to share my thoughts once I do. Or photos for that matter.

For reference I am 177cm and went for a 48cm frame… Coming from a Planet-x exo 3 Medium frame, the 48cm comes out slightly larger.
