Very nice Nick! I can see where that would be great for an aggressive road bike position or potentially a more upright or higher power/shorter TT (where you’re riding more on the nose). Always good to have options.
Thanks for the heads up about the BTS double bottle bracket, I’ve been loving mine but will definitely reach out to get one of the new ones. Especially with 2 1L bottles mounted (and filled with 200g carbs each for long training or full IM racing), it definitely gets heavy back there and I have felt a little bouncing.
This looks excellent, I think I want to sit on one when they become available.
This could be my new saddle:-).

I will have one in Nice, Kona and Marbella, in addition to a number of gravel races and Sea Otter Europe
I was already planning on saying hello in Marbella
just like there are horses for courses, there are saddles for battles. #saddlebattle
I thought I’d share my custom dual ‘side-by-side’ BTS bottle setup mimicking Ditlev’s setup earlier this year (but cleaner IMO).
Started from a 4mm carbon fiber sheet, cut to the required shape w a jig saw.
Below, the final version w titanium screws.
Earlier versions before finalizing the details:
The mounting screws are tightening the assembly in a small piece of aluminum bar stock with threaded holes (with a angle to match the angle of the plate)
One of the issues of having bottler over the saddle, is the transition racks - often they are too low to slide under without tilting the bike, and in big races they is just no space to tilt the bike.
So I designed a simple transition rack hook that surrounds the piece of aluminum I thread into.
3D printed at home. After several prototypes…
Then it is super easy to put/pull the bike from the rack from the top.
The whole system is rather simple, and only weights 107g before adding the 2 carbon cages!
So Wove Saddle (very light) + the side-by-side BTS (before bottles) is still lighter than most stand alone Tri saddles!
Also, the setup is quite rigid, not much bouncing at all (much less than videos I’ve seen of the EZgains setup). I’ve ridden over 1000 km with this setup, no issues.
As for whether it is faster than the dual-bottle setup in vertical stack up I was using before, I did not get to test yet. Also not sure my aero-sensor & protocol are fine enough in resolution to determine that with any confidence. I do feel it is easier to get bottles in/out than with the cage under the saddle.
Anyway, pretty happy with how this turned out on may aspects (look, functionality, weight).
This is awesome, and frankly way nicer than most BTA/BTS solutions that the Pro’s cobble together.
I’ve been testing my dual bottle setup, and with the bottom Tri-Rig cage it’s very difficult to remove the bottle when there is a top bottle in place. I think the new Wove cage will be more ideal because it’s still designed to hold the bottle upside down but won’t have 1,000lbs of grip force.
Man, this setup looks sick. The rack hook looks brilliant, I’d buy one of those in a heartbeat.
That rear hook is just brilliant!
So brilliant, I would love to offer that rear hook to customers. @spocket definitely email me to discuss
Hi - I’ve finally ridden my Wove V8 a couple of times and while still some discomfort on a long (80 mile) ride, so much better than other saddles I’ve tried.
As a less than flexible M55-59 MOP AG, trying to use the under the saddle bottle cage is challenging while riding.
I’ve considered the Hydro-Gains, but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. I have on order the Wove dual bottle bracket, with the hopes of improved flexibility in the future.
In the meantime…
I have my older XLabs Carbon Wing BTS mount, but wanted to see if there is any issue mounting it (if it clears the rear of the saddle) to the carbon rails?
Mine goes on the angle up to the saddle itself, where the rails appear round and thinner - any concerns or issues with this? This is it on my Sitero:
Have you seen this on our Instructions Page? (We put on our box and in our follow up emails, but I too am one to skip instructions )
https://www.utahtrikes.com/PROD-11618337.html
Email us for any help setting it up. Or with setting up your position on the saddle/bike.
Alternatively, you can use a single cage on our double bottle bts bracket on top of the saddle
And the new Tririg system works on our saddle: Elliot Bach on Instagram: "Tririg just launched the new Beta One Bottle Carrier. Take your rear hydration to the next level with the capability of mounting up to 3 bottles. Mounting options available for all saddles and seat posts!"
Thanks Nick for kindly telling me to RTFM While I was anxiously waiting for the saddle I’d read it - really!
Also thanks for some of the other options - I do have the double bottle bts bracket on order.
The Tririg one is interesting - will check that out.
Just so I know and don’t possibly do something silly, is there are issue with mounting on the rails like the XLabs wing does?
Thanks again!
No issues with mounting on the rails, but if you do put 2 L of fluid back there, just recognize that that is a lot of force on the entire system
If keeping the bottle under the saddle, I found that using a Wolf Tooth B-RAD bracket to shift the bottle closer to the seatpost help a LOT to make it easier to get the bottle in/out. Still something you only want to seldomly to swap bottles with the front, not for constant drinking.

The same adapter can be used to locate the bottle on top and clear your body, but you get the same thing with the Wove Double BTS bracket (without the adjustment).
I think with the bottle above the saddle will also be a lot easier to handle than below the saddle.
Maybe post a picture?
It is pretty hard to get the bottle cage closer because the rear of the cage will hit the rails of the saddle
Just go ahead and take my money
